Ever dreamt of being an explorer in the jungle or castaway on a remote tropical island?

If yes, a Hanuman Tourism Cambodian Temple or Beach Safari is ideal. Safaris throw up images of African plains and seeing the most incredible animals on the planet. With a Cambodian Temple or Beach Safari you will witness the most atmospheric temple ruins on earth, forgotten in the forests for almost a millennia, and remote stunning islands in the Gulf of Thailand with empty pristine beaches. Imagine waking up for sunrise on the summit of the Dangrek Mountains, the shafts of first light casting over the majestic mountain temple of Preah Vihear... Imagine your own private beach on the incredible tropical islands off the coast of Cambodia...

With the introduction of the luxury Angkor Safari Tent, unique to Hanuman Tourism, imagination now becomes reality. We can take you far away from the usual tourist routes and introduce you to the wonderfully remote Cambodia that few tourists ever see. In the jungles of the north you can discover forgotten temples, such as Preah Vihear, Koh Ker and Preah Khan, as well as many others, some still as they where when first discovered. On the secluded islands of Koh Rong and Koh Rong Samleon to the south you will feel like a true castaway as you camp on deserted beaches and feast on freshly caught fish cooked over a fire.

The luxury Angkor Safari Tent allows us to take you to places in Cambodia that currently have no or little tourism infrastructure, ensuring you have a truly unique experience. The tents are based upon the tried and tested African safari luxury tents. Each day they are pitched at our destination by our staff on a durable tarpaulin and they consist of two layers, the outer waterproof layer sits about 20cm above the inner layer. The inner layer comes with complete mosquito and insect protection and includes five meshed windows for light and breeze during the day. The overall dimensions of the tent are 3m wide x 4m long x 2.5m high. Yes, you heard it right, 2.5m high offering standing room throughout. Furnishings include custom-designed camp beds, 2m long by 1m wide with a foam mattress and cotton bedding. There are small square tables inside for suitcases or rucksacks, and two chairs and a table under the veranda awning where you can relax and enjoy morning tea and coffee, as well as and your meals which are prepared by our expert cooks.

What about calls of nature? – no problem! The Angkor Safari Tent comes equipped with toilet and shower tents to ensure maximum privacy in the middle of nowhere. The shower is the same as an African bush shower, essentially a heavy-duty bag that is filled with water and has a handle to stop and start the flow. Our team boils up a large pan of iodised water, mixes it with some cold and voila, a hot shower in the jungle. The toilet is a wooden box with a standard toilet seat on top. When our team sets up camp, they dig a small hole and put the toilet tent over the top. When everything is packed away, it is filled in again leaving no trace.
