Friday Night
We catch the 10:00pm night train to Lao Cai, enjoying a bed in soft sleeper class with air-con.

Saturday
After breakfast in a local restaurant, we drive 100Km through the steep Bac Ha Mountains to Can Cau. We soak up this colorful Flower H’mong market perched high on the mountain side with an amazing view of the local valley, sculpted with rice terraces and plum trees. From here, we cycle on a single track dirt road to Lung Sui and Seng Sui Flower H’mong villages along a high country plateau. The last 12km is an easy down hill on tar road back to Bac Ha town. We check in to the hotel and have lunch. After lunch we do a short loop around Bac Ha to visit the area, stopping in Ban Pho village, winding through plum orchards, rice fields, passing local homes and people. Overnight in Bac Ha.

Sunday
Get your camera ready for the famous Bac Ha market. The sights, sounds and smells in this bustling hill tribe market are a barrage for the senses! Be sure to try the local corn whisky that Bac Ha is so famous for! Take a walk trough town to visit the impressive house of the former H’mong King. After lunch in the hotel, we check out and start riding out of town and down the stunning mountain road, continuing along the Chay River valley and back to Lao Cai. Choose to ride 24Km down the mountain then drive to Lao Cai, or ride the full 82km to Lao Cai. We can shower in Lao Cai before sitting down to dinner. We board the night train back to Hanoi, where the tour ends.
