Diving
is an up and coming activity in Vietnam, with
Nha Trang established as the best place to go
under the waters and Whale Island, a little further
north, a popular ecotourist resort. The southern
island of Phu Quoc may emerge as a dive destination
in the near future. In all honesty, the diving
in Vietnam is not as impressive as Indonesia or
the Philippines, but many divers enjoy the chance
to add Vietnam to the list of countries they have
dived. We work with professional PADI-affiliated
dive schools to ensure safety at all times.
Golfing
Golfing has taken off in Vietnam in the last
few years and many golfing enthusiasts enjoy
the novelty of playing a round here. There is
currently just one course in northern Vietnam
and six courses in southern Vietnam. King's
Island Golf Resort is just 35km from Hanoi and
offers two eighteen-hole courses and some fine
scenery. In the south, Dalat Palace Golf Club
offers a challenge in the highlands, with fresh
air and pine forests. Back down on the coast
at Phan Thiet, Ocean Dunes Golf Club, designed
by Nick Faldo, is possibly the best course in
the country. Nearby Mui Ne Beach is a wonderful
place to relax after a round of golf. Vietnam
Golf & Country Club has two 18-hole championship
courses, the 7106-yard West Course designed
by Chen King Shih and the 6946-yard East Course
designed by Lee Trevino. Other courses in the
south include Vung Tau Paradise, Bo Chang Dong
Nai and Song Be. We can arrange golfing tours
to include three or four courses and other sights
of interest in the area.
