Day
1: Historic Wats of Luang Prabang
We take a flight to the historic city of
Luang Prabang. After lunch, we visit some
of the most important wats, including elegant
Wat Xieng Thon, watermelon-shaped Wat Wisunlat
and Wat Phousi.
Day
2: The Caves Of
Pak Ou
Today, we take a boat up the Mekong River to the
holy caves of Pak Ou, overflowing with ancient
Buddha images. We also visit the village of Ban
Xang Hai where the local liquor Lao Lao is produced
and Ban Phanom, a village of silk weavers.
Day
3: Luang Prabang to Vientiane
We visit the royal palace museum before
flying south to the capital of Vientiane
to explore at leisure the sights of Wat
That Luang, Wat Pha Kaew and Patuxai Monument.
Day 4: Onward Journey
from Vientiane
After breakfast, we transfer to the airport
for the onward connection.
