DAY 1: Around Vientiane
We enjoy a tour of Vientiane, the capital of Laos, visiting the temples of Wat That Luang, Wat Pha Kaew, Wat Si Muang and Wat Si Saket, and the Patuxai Monument.

DAY 2: Vientiane to Luang Prabang
We take a flight to the historic city of Luang Prabang. After visiting the Royal Palace Museum, we see some of the important wats, including watermelon-shaped Wat Wisunlat, Wat Aham and Wat Saen.

 

 
DAY 3: Pak Ou Caves
After a visit to the elegant temple of Wat Xieng Thon, we take a boat up the Mekong River to the holy caves of Pak Ou. We also visit some traditional villages.
 
DAY 4: Kuang Si Falls
Today, we make an excursion to the beautiful waterfall of Kuang Si. On the way back to town, we stop at the scenic village of Khamu. We fly to Vientiane for tomorrow's transfer to Pakse.
 
DAY 5: Vientiane to Pakse
We take a morning flight to Pakse. We head inland and upwards to the Bolaven Plateau, where we enjoy an elephant trek in beautiful natural surroundings. Later we return to Pakse.
 
DAY 6: Wat Phu and Boat Cruise
We take a boat cruise down the Mekong to the impressive Khmer temple of Wat Phu before continuing by road to Don Khong, a charming island in the Mekong. Dinner and overnight on Don Khong.
 

DAY 7: Exploring the Mekong Islands and on to Cambodia
Today, we take a boat trip through Si Phan Don. We travel south to the islands of Don Det and Don Khon. We then head by road to the Phapeng Falls. We continue on to the Lao-Cambodian border and the town of Stung Treng is our base for the night.

DAY 8: Stung Treng to Kratie
We travel by road along the Mekong River to Kratie. After lunch, we head to Kampi for dolphin viewing. We watch sunset over the Mekong from Phnom Sombok. Dinner and overnight in Kratie.

 
DAY 9: Kratie to Kompong Cham and Phnom Penh
We travel south by road to Kompong Cham and visit the temple of Wat Nokor and the hills of Phnom Pros and Phnom Srey. In the afternoon, we drive to Phnom Penh.
 
DAY 10: The Sights of Phnom Penh
In the morning, we visit the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. After lunch, we visit the genocide museum of Tuol Sleng and the Killing Fields. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
 
DAY 11: Phnom Penh to Siem Reap
In the morning, we visit Wat Phnom, symbol of the city, the National Museum and the popular Russian and Central markets. After lunch in the city we fly to Siem Reap. We watch sunset over Angkor Wat.
 
DAY 12: Ta Prohm and Angkor Wat
In the morning, we visit the highlights of the petit circuit, including Prasat Kravan, the royal bathing pond of Sra Srang, Banteay Kdei, Takeo and jungle-clad Ta Prohm. After lunch in town, we visit magnificent Angkor Wat to view its architecture and bas reliefs.
 

DAY 13: Banteay Srei, Kbal Spean and the Grand Circuit
We go to Angkor Wat to watch sunrise, before visiting the elegant temple of Banteay Srei and Kbal Spean. After lunch in town, we visit Preah Khan, Neak Poan and Banteay Samre.

 

DAY 14: The Bayon and Angkor Thom
In the morning we visit the highlights of Angkor Thom, including Victory Gate, the Bayon, Baphuon, and the Terrace of the Elephants. After lunch, we take a boat trip through floating villages and visit Les Artisans D’Angkor before transferring to the airport for an onward flight.
